Knight Rider Series Car "KITT" for Sale

The talking Pontiac Trans Am car of the '80's action series Knight Rider is up for sale in time for the 25th anniversary of the popular series. Known as KITT (for Knight Industries Two Thousand), the car has a price tag of $149,995 and is fully-restored to its original screen glory by Tim Russo, a customer of Kassabian Motors, which has had the car displayed for a month.
Russo spend decades finding parts to restore it, but it will never talk back, be bullet-proof, or be able to jump over traffic using its Turbo Boost. The great part is that it still has red running lights up front that hum. It is one of four cars used for close ups with the lead actor. The show was what made David Hasselhoff, who played Michael Knight in the series, known by couch potatoes everywhere. A Knight Rider movie is currently in pre-production and is due to be out in 2008. Hasselhoff reportedly only agreed to do it if the car would still talk to him as it did in the series.

That's the Hoff for ya. That was one funny agreement @ KITT must still talk to him. Well, maybe it was his move just to make sure that the essence of the original Knight Rider, which is the conversationalist KITT, is still in the series. It would have been great if the new voice sounded like the original.
