Nancy Drew Comes to the Big Screen Again

The famous girl-sleuth of the mid twentieth century is back on the big screen. Made famous by author Carolyn Keene, the Nancy Drew detective book series drew a lot of young girl fans. Later, it was turned into a television series. It was the CSI series of the era together with the Hardy Boys and had a cult phenomenon through the turn of the century (20th-21st). Disney based a movie on it starring Maggie Lawson in 2002. Now, the movie Nancy Drew: The Mystery in Hollywood Hills tracks Nancy, played by Emma Roberts, together with her gal pals Bess and George, as she stumbles upon the unsolved mystery of the death of a glamorous Hollywood actress.
